This assignment is to take one of the old pieces I did as a theme, and specifically use “Anchor Words” “I remember” and “I don’t remember.”  I did this in 2nd person…..  2 Minute Timed Writing

She remembered the day her life changed.


After all, it was only a week ago.


She remembered the day before her life changed, too. 


It was an ordinary, routine day. The kind of day she and her best friend, “Just Friends Alan,” joked about. They called it “Groundhog Day.” After the movie. The same day repeating itself endlessly. Get up. Go to work. Come home. Have dinner. Read or watch TV. Go to bed. Repeat. Endlessly.


She remembered the night before “The Big Change.”  In her mind, she was now calling that night and day, "The Big Change."  


She remembered that she and Alan met up after work for a quick dinner together.  They loved hanging out. They'd been “Best Friends - Just Friends” for over 10 years.  She didn’t remember exactly how long.  But she could barely remember NOT being Best Friends with Alan.


Dinner with Alan after her job as creative director at Carmichael Advertising, the small, family-owned ad agency where she’d worked all of her adult working life, wasn't unusual. Until that day.  Well, that night, to be more precise. 


Now, she remembered every bit of the unusualness of it.
