I use 1st Para on page 195 of “The Richest Man In Babylon.”
“Behind him, had he cared to turn and look, the noisy Chariots of the rich jostled and crowded aside the old Tradesman as well as the barefoot beggars. Even the rich were forced to turn into the gutters to clear the way for the long lines of slave water carriers on the "King's business," 15 each bearing a heavy goatskin of water to be poured upon the Hanging Gardens.

Now mine:
Alan and Justine were off to the market, the dry cleaners, and a slow, quiet brunch that Saturday morning. It was their custom. Every Saturday morning for three years now.
This time they were in their new Fiat. Justine smells like lilacs. The car smells like...well...new car. Alan breathes in both with great pleasure.
But wait! What's this? A traffic jam on Saturday morning? Unheard-of.
When Alan looked behind him, he saw a line of big white stretch limousines. Cars of the Rich and Famous. There was a police vehicle in front of them with red and blue lights flashing. No sirens, though.
The Fords, Chevys, and Toyotas pull to the side. The old clunkers and flashy big new cars of the higher class all made way for the ultra-rich and famous in their massive white stretch limos followed by 13 cargo trucks and vans.
"The concert." Justine said. "It must be Johnny, Jeanie, and the Outlaws." The so-called Royalty of Rock.
“I wonder where this parade of popular power is headed so early this morning? I thought those people slept the day away,” Justine said.
Alan said, “Maybe they’re trying to break out of their version of Groundhog Day!”
They laugh hysterically.
